A crazy couple of weeks

We have had some craziness as of late. Obviously the Thanksgiving holiday was busy but probably the best one that I can remember. A week or so before Thanksgiving I hurt my back and I'm still dealing with that. Oliver has had a hard time lately. Nothing physical, more emotional. He has a lot to deal with for an 11 year old kid. Leukemia, first year of middle school, parents that are divorced, and just being a kid. Oliver was able to talk with a psychologist at the hematology /oncology clinic at PCMC. I think it really helped. He was so much happier after that phone call. So life is good, just some bumps in the road :)
I am looking forward to enjoying the upcoming festivities.
Some of the fun things we are doing this month:
~Christmas shopping for the kids tonight. (kind of like a date, right?)
~Going to see the lights at Temple Square with my husbands family
~attending the kids school Christmas concert
~The Annual family Christmas party at Aunt Norma's (the kids reenact the Nativity, so fun!)
~Making gingerbread houses with Grandma Karen (my mom)
~The Thomson family Christmas party

I have been looking for an advent calendar. I love the one above from Garnet Hill!
I'm hoping my mom can knit me up some of these sweater ornaments. I have a thing for teeny tiny things.
Have a great weekend!

I have been thinking about you, I just need to pick up the phone and call. Sounds like you have a fun month ahead. Sorry Oliver was going through a tough time! He is such a cute boy with an awesome mom, I'm sure he'll do great!

Hey, do you think your mom could make a sweater with LOTS of buttons on it so I can take it to church?.... I know a little girl who would love to button it up!
