life update

You may have already read about this on Facebook.  Oliver had another bone marrow aspirate the end of March.  I always get anxiety before these tests.  I thought I was being a bit of a freak, cause I can be :)  Oliver's Dr. assured me that anxiety is totally normal before these tests.  It was also the one year anniversary on 3/22/11 since we found out that Oliver has Leukemia.
Well Good News! Oliver's test results came back and they are great! If you look at this picture you will see the four different levels of testing, (#4) being the most sensitive. Oliver was in hematologic remission(#2),  he is now in cytogenic remission (#3)! The molecular test (#4) showed 1/3 less of the level he was at 3 months ago. This is ALL good. Unless the labs he continues to get change he won't have to do another bone marrow aspirate for a long time! He doesn't have to go back in for labs for 6 months! YAY! Oh, and Oliver was on the Honor Roll again!

A few weeks ago I hit a large rock on the Frontage road.  I was surprised (and not in a good way) to find out that it caused all sorts of damage to our van. About $3500.  You would think I had hit a boulder! We had other repairs that needed to be done as well so it came to a whopping $4800!  Luckily our insurance covered $2800 and we had just gotten our tax return to pick up the rest.

I've been hoping to get out my Easter decorations but instead...

...I've been taking care of these sicky's.  My whole family has been sick with some kind of virus.  I lucked out this time around.  All I caught was sleep deprivation.

So it has been a wild couple of weeks but I never forget that there is always someone else that has it much worse than us.

I really am so happy for you and Oliver that everything went well with his labs! That has got to be such a huge relief! Hope everyone is feeling better at your house. I would love to go to dinner sometime soon and catch up. To answer your question about my sisters house, she isn't renting it out. We need to go there sometime!
