The wait is over...

for me and now for you :)

I hope you aren't disappointed in my secret.

See this large eye-sore of a sectional?
This picture makes it look better than it really is.
I bought it off of KSL.com (like Craigslist)knowing that I would have Shelley slipcover it for me.  I knew that I wanted boxed cushions and the skirt to be higher.  A simple, classic style.

Once I decided what my plan would be my fabric search began...

It took forever some time for me to find "the" fabric.  40 yards isn't the easiest amount of fabric to find.  Uh, and I'm not the most decisive person.

I finally came to realize I wouldn't be able to find the fabric I really wanted in the price range I could afford so I went with a cotton/twill.

Shelley did an AMAZING job.  Take a look for yourself.

Why I would go to all of this trouble and not just buy a "new" sectional? Well let me tell ya. As you can see it doesn't look like a slipcover. ...and the entire thing can be thrown in the wash! That, my friends, is the beauty!

I love how it turned out!

Look at this picture below from Pottery Barn.  hmmm...looks similar to mine doesn't it?

I pre-washed and dried the fabric before Shelley did her magic.  So now every time there is a goobery, slobbery kid mark I can just zip off that cushion cover and throw it in the wash! I actually had to do this the first day and it washed up beautifully!

  Thanks so much Shelley!
